The bell of „Chiesa di S. Antonia“. St. Anthony’s church is a rock chapell, built into the cliffs of Capo Milazzo.

Etna
Walking on the lava flow from 2001‘s Etna eruption. Arisen from the dark crater in the middle.
Sciara del Fuoco
A once in a lifetime experience. Hopefully not! Stromboli spews lava last night. Seen from a boat, floating at the end of „Sciara del Fuoco“.
I need to come back one day for a hiking tour to the top and have a look into the crater from above.
Endless white beaches
Come to the sea they said, enjoy the endless white beaches they said. Well, a new beach experience to me.
The black beaches of Stromboli Island.
Awesome Sicily!
First evening, first sunset. Awesome!
Autobahnromantik
“Autobahnromantik”. Is there an English word for? Taken during our ride home from SXF after another great trip to the beautiful island of Sardegna, paired with some rallye action.
Woah!
A short snorkeling trip to the reef around the corner went really lucky. A small group of dolphins appeared right next to our boat. They were fooling around and checking us out for a moment and then they disappeared into the sea.
It was a great moment for us. Especially as we did not expect them. Locals told us to not book one of these full day dolphin sighting trips, because its not likely to see them in the northern Red Sea in February.
So we only did a 3 hour trip with the intention of snorkeling on a riff larger than the ones close to the beach. A nice surprise!
Blue, definitely.
I want summer back. And sea. Looking forward to summer this year. Mediterranean ahead!
Red Sea? Blue Sea?
Apart from just relaxing and beside from going to the desert, the really big thing about the Red Sea is snorkeling and diving. And thats what I did. Small reefs are easily accessible from the beach or by your hotels boat bridge. Walk 5 Minutes, jump in and enjoy the colours of your local coral reef.
Boring, isn’t it? No way!
View in southern direction along the Eastern Desert Mountain Range. Next stop (in 700km): Sudan. Still fascinating to me.
