Nearly 8 minutes exposure from the evening sky. You can clearly see earth’s rotation and can imagine the northern direction of the axis of the earth.
In the lower right corner you can slightly see the tracks of two planes. But highlight of the photo is the overpass of the International Space Station together with the docked shuttle Discovery on STS-119. The station was visible for approximately 5 minutes.
A new attempt on another field of photography. I was waiting more than 4 weeks for a clear sky without moonlight and today was the day… or the night. So here is the 1st result I got. Better than expected. The sky is not the darkest due to the city lights here, but on the photo you can see more stars than with the naked eye.
So next time I will try it in a more rural area. Especially in the summer, when the milky way can be seen.
