A quiet path carved through clouds and trees.
First test of a long-standing wish. Happy me!

An absolute highlight on Madeira. The well known “stairway to heaven”. Again I was really lucky with the weather that day. And again with not having others around me. This spot gets heavily crowded around sunrise as it is part of the PR1 hiking trail between Pico do Arieiro and Pico Ruivo. Many hikers use the magical light from the upcoming sun to start their hike.
…and capture it.
Achadas da Cruz, located on Madeiras west coast. Accessible by a steep cable car from a 450m high cliff.
Funchal suburbs within the „Banana line“. Looking behind the shiny front row buildings reveals different perspectives.
The yellow well aged building caught my attention.
Kayaking is life. Finally did a tour from Leipzig city harbour to lake Cospuden. The best way to explore nature. And to enjoy summer.
1200m above sea level. This is the highest point I reached on my bike trips on Gran Canaria this summer. High enough to catch a view over to Tenerife with Mt. Teide. (far in the back of the image)
And high enough to reach another climatic zone. It became green up there.
Imagine the fun riding it all back down to sea level.
This trip was from Maspalomas up to Parque Nublo. Roque Nublo almost marks the center of the island of Gran Canaria. As the island has 4 different climatic zones (sea level north and south, mountain area north and south), the goal was to go up to Nublo national park and see a different climatic zone.
The photo was taken on the way back along canyon walls, always the magnificient ocean view ahead.
What an awesome place to be. A short but steep trip uo to Arco del Coronadero. Another early morning start to climb uphill before the heat kicks in.
Vacation time! Another bike ride in perfect conditions. Short 42km trip to the Ayagaures reservoirs. The short round trip to get used to the conditions on Gran Canaria.
