The Galway Bay seen from the road to Connemara. The photo was taken on the way to the office. I would be glad if I had the same view out of my office in Germany as well.

Done on a business trip to Ireland last week. Backpack and tie isn’t such a good combination but I had to carry some lenses… which didn’t fit anywhere else. I expected the flight around sunset, so the plan was to shot with the 11mm lens out of a plane window. I like the flexed shape of the wing.
The photo was taken during a change of course ca. 60km western of Amsterdam at an altitude of 11.000m and with a speed of 787km/h aboard an A320 with registration EI-CVC (which came three days later in front of my lens).
Using a GPS logger is a kinda cool thing :)
50 3688-4 – a steam locomotive which is unfortunately undercooled and stored in a slightly dark engine shed. For more information about the Class 50 –> Wikipedia link.
(This photo is a latecomer from a visit in this engine shed more than three weeks ago. There was no time to do this stuff earlier due to a lot of work)
