  • #marslovers

2018 travel has begun, I was on Mars lately. Okay, not really (sadly). Still on earth but a new environment to me – desert. And I put my feet on a continent I haven’t been before: Africa!

Okay, sounds more dramatic as it was. Decided to enjoy the benefits of summer while having winter in Germany and went to Egypt for a week. As you might know, there is a large conglomerate of package tourism hotels in Hurghada, so no idea of how egyptian this part of Egypt is. Anyway, a full week of 30°C is nothing I would complain about.

  • That’s it. 2017.

Oops! I just wanted to start the 2018 photo series when recognizing, there is still a draft from summer 2017. Lets see it as a belated closing scene of 2017. Another great year with a great summer experience. Lay back, take a breath and relax.

2018 is in planning. Some things are fixed. Others are in the making. Looking forward to another great time.

  • Gondola cruising – budget style

Taken inside the Vaporetto to St. Mark’s Square.

  • Piazza San Marco

This is definitely one of my favourite photos, taken this summer. Would have been better without other people and some pigeons flying away, but hey.

Walking over Saint Mark’s square in Venice.

  • The Great Rain Reef

This years trip to the Baltic Sea was different to the years before: rain, cold wind, rain, rain and rain. Switching to the indoor program, we went to Stralsund to visit the German Maritime Museum. I place where I have been the last time when I was at the age of my daughter. And they have a giant fish tank with unusual spots to watch from (placed in an artificial reef).

  • Morning tour

Best part about kayaking: floating through a silent and smooth lake. I couldn’t imagine a better way to become one with nature. I like it.

  • Baltic Sea

A few weeks ago we have been at the Baltic Sea. Sun, rain, sand, fish, wind, fairground, beach volleyball, culture, fireworks. We had everything this year. And time. A great time.

  • Vagabond days

    “Der See ist doch gemalt
so wie im Märchen steht der Wald
und der Himmel muss ein Fotofilter sein”

This song came to my mind when hitting the smooth and quiet lake in the early morning for a kayak trip in the golden sunlight.

FYI: this is not a selfiestick. Taken with a DSLR, mounted on a monopod. Just to clear things up.

The song: Prag – Bis einer geht

  • Analogue love

Premiere today! This is the first analogue photograph in this blog.

Taken a few weeks ago. After spending the whole summer day at ega-Park’s playground, we went back home in heavy summer rain. Luckily the heavy rain came down exactly in that time, when we were sitting in the tram.

  • See all those poppies!

Came across a poppy field a few weeks ago. Okay, wasn’t by accident. Saw a huge population of poppies in a field arround the corner and we made a walk to have a closer look at them.
