Another tick off my list.
(still an awesome piece of engineering and architecture)

Riding Ziemestalbrücke
Ziemestalbrücke. A stunning piece of engineering, built in 1895. Hasn’t seen any train since 20 years.
Ziemestalbrücke
Late summer bike ride along upper Saale river. A throwback to my childhood.
Flight board
Its been a while since the last time I took a picture of this flight board. Vacations!
Floodlight experience
Taken after Tuesdays football match between @fccarlzeissjena_official and @1fcm1965 (german 3rd division). The new installed floodlights are illuminating the famous Ernst-Abbe-Sportfeld.
I did not really expect a positive outcome of the match but neither did I expect such a result. Anyway, atmosphere was great and the €/goal rate was worth it ?
The photo was taken by phone using manual exposure and RAW capabilities of modern phones.
Time flies
2018 is moving so fast already. Taken in the tram while riding back home. Somewhen in January.
Gaugeous, Part 3
Recently I finished the black and white film I had in the camera for a while. Old camera, old car, perfectly matching. In analogy to the previous “Gaugeous photos” (Gaugeous, Gaugeous II), this is Gaugeous Part 3.
Camera: Praktica L2, 50mm 1.8
Film: Ilford HP5+
ISS is passing
Another advantage of lake Hohenwarte is relative darkness at night. At least compared to the urban area where I am usually living. The number of visible stars is almost breathtaking. I tried to capture the milky way but it did not work out well. So i focussed on one of the daily ISS passes over central Europe. I think I can live with that.
This one is for symmetry fetishists
On our way back downhill, we were carried by a passenger vehicle mounted on top of a goods platform. (see here) As this car is leveled, it feels like crawling down a wall when looking backwards. As usual, a photo can’t transport that impression very well. Anyway, a good opportunity for me to take this photo. Full of symmetry.

The Discovery of Slowness
I like the vintage look of the interieur of these train vehicles. This one was taken on the level track of the “Oberweissbacher Bergbahn”. More info about the vehicle here (in Germany only)
