  • Little Trabant adventures

Something different in between the rallye action pics. I took a model of a Trabant 601 with me and thought it would be fun to involve it in my photography on random occasions.

Btw: Jan Kopecky is passing by with his brand new Skoda Fabia R5 in the background. Taken on SS23 – Cala Flumini 2.

  • Seaside road trippin’

This one was taken at then end of our additional day. Before the Rallye action got us, we had a day off to enjoy culture (visiting a vinery) and beach fun. Before we went up the mountains to get to Friday’s first stage, we had dinner in Marina di Bosa. The photo was taken when leaving Bosa later on.

  • Field of corn

    Field of Corn

Had this idea for a while now and this is my first attempt. While light conditions were perfect and sky was clear as well, landscape was not my first choice. But time was ticking to get something done before the sun was sunken.

Next time then without the annoying hill in the background and the horizon crossing my head. How silly.

  • Feels like summer

Havin fun in the warm evening sun these days.

  • More or less professional solar eclipse footage

As I told you before, everything worked as expected and this is the result of “Plan C”. This old bridge camera does not have an optical view finder and everything is done by two LCD screens. This makes it uncritical to point directly into the sun and have a look in the tiny LCD view finder. The blurry shape of the sun is caused by chromatic aberrations. The downside of super zoom lens.

  • Usefull stuff

    Unknown-6

Somehow media caught the solar eclipse train to late to bring awareness for solar eclipse glasses into retail business. Among many others I had to choose “Plan B” to observe this years solar eclipse. I’m so glad I could finally benefit from studying 5 semester optics and have built this fancy camera obscura. I also developed “Plan C”, using my old Lumix bridge camera to shoot directly into the sun.

I can tell you: both things worked well!

  • Solar eclipse, huh?!

Found this light pattern on my desk in the morning of March 20th. Looks like we were having a solar eclipse ;)

  • Finally

Finally the last photo from this years trip to Rhodes. Sun gone, finish.

  • Halfway gone

Don’t know, seems like I’m obsessed by sunsets. Okay, it’s still the same set as on the picture posted the daybefore. The same colour set, same blurr, same sun. Still awesome in my eyes.

  • Sunset

Like it somehow. The “droping” sun into the Aegean Sea, the little boat making its way, the blurr in the foreground, the lens flare at the bottom, the orange colours, …
