The fence in the picture is that what usually is known as the &#8220;Iron Curtain&#8221;, which was dividing the world in East and West. 21 years ago I would be dead if I stood on that point where I took the photograph.<br \/>\nThis piece is still remaining and should remind. That&#8217;s why the trees arround the fence now. They were planted 20 years ago, shortly after the fall of the wall.<\/p>\n<p>The photograph was taken near the village of Ifta in western Thuringia.
