  • Magnificient

The view from Monte Titano down to the Adriatic coast line and Rimini. The Photo does not even give an idea about how breathtaking the view from that point is. The distance to the coast is 17km and the photo was taken from almost 700 meters height. The houses in the lower left corner (Borgo Maggiore) are around 500m above sea level and the terrain rapidly drops below 100m asl within 7km from where the photo was taken.

In reality, you feel like standing above the entire landscape and watching down to the sea. It truly is magnificient.

  • San Marino

Another major touristic landmark on our list was San Marino. Strolling through the narrow alleys, enjoying delicious food, benefiting from taxless shopping and getting a glimpse of history about over 1700 years of independence. An interesting and relaxing day at Monte Titano.

  • Comacchio

Treponti in golden light. We spent a perfect evening there. Sweet summer memories while we already have autumn here. Grey and rainy autumn.

  • Treponti

Thats the bridge Comacchio is famous for. Treponti. Two canals are merging underneath.

  • Leaving

Leaving Venice in twilight. The city totally slowed down. The Vaporetto brought us on a empty and calm Canale Grande back to St.Lucia station.

A city definitely worth to visit. A short trip with at least two overnight stays is now on my bucket list.

  • Canale Grande

Same spot and time as on one of the other posts. View from Rialto bridge in north eastern direction.

  • Campo San Pantalon

I like those Taxi boats with their shiny wooden decks. Reminds me about James Bond movies. The result of getting introduced to Venice by movies when I was young.

  • Campo San Barnaba

Typical scene on one of the many small squares in Venice.

  • After hour

The low sun shining through an alley in Venice.

  • Gondola cruising – budget style

Taken inside the Vaporetto to St. Mark’s Square.
